Visit to Hogar Nuestra Señora de los Remedios

On May 29, the Binational Foundation Vida y Luz Guatemala visited the Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Home in Jalapa, Guatemala, to identify and assess the institution's main needs. The home provides care to an average of 110 girls, ranging in age from 0 to 22. Most of them come from various Children and Adolescent Courts throughout Guatemala.  The girls who reside there have faced highly vulnerable situations, such as physical and psychological abuse, malnutrition, domestic violence, incest, rape, and abandonment.
